thought of the day.
in light of the three chapsticks i've lost this week, i have now decided that velcro should come standard on human beings. because, at 2.99 a pop, i can't afford to be losing burt's left and right. i've had to switch to regular ol' chapstick-brand chaptick (but don't worry, not the pink kind in the black tube...the new snazzy white kind in the blue tube...with aloe!) that way they wouldn't go through the wash when i leave them in my apron at work. then raquel, the laundry lady wouldn't scold me in spanish. because, while i'm not fluent in spanish, i do feel bad because i know i'm in trouble due to the finger shaking. bad news, i tell you, bad news bears. in fact, i don't even know where number three is right now. oh, sigh.

since i was too lazy to take a picture of my own chapstick, i lifted this from a spanish ebay site...this here isn't any old chapstick...it's brazilian...oooooh...
ps: when i was looking for pictures of chapstick...i came across this from a christian liturgical supply company. i guess even the religiously feverent need lip moisturization too (in case you were worried, the website suggests sending them to christian missionaries - just because you're busy converting folks doesn't mean to don't have time for soft lips! sheesh.)

aaah...christian chap stick...just what the soul needs.
...might i add that i went through a pretty thorough private catholic school education and i never learned what "hold to the rod" meant. actually sounds a bit un-religious, if you don't mind me sayin'...
now that i've proven my mind's in the gutter...i'm out.
